Michigan Church Shooting: A Sad Day in Grand Blanc
It was a calm Sunday morning in Michigan. People went to church to pray and sing. The sky was clear, and kids played near the door. Then, without warning, a loud crash broke the peace.
A man drove his car into the church. People screamed and ran. The man got out and started to shoot. Ten people were hit. One person died. Two were hurt badly.
Fire broke out inside. Smoke spread fast. Police came within minutes. They stopped the man and helped pull people out. Firefighters put out the flames. The church was badly burned, but lives were saved.
Police are still looking for the reason behind the attack. They are checking his phone, car, and home. The FBI is helping too. So far, no one knows why he did it.
The governor said she was heartbroken. She prayed for the families. People in the town lit candles and brought food to those in need. Some stood outside the church holding hands.
The church leaders said they will rebuild. “We will stay strong,” one man said. “Love will win over fear.”
Just months ago, another church in Wayne faced a shooting too. That time, a guard stopped the gunman fast. Many people now want more safety in churches.
The town of Grand Blanc is sad but not broken. Neighbors are helping each other. They are showing care, faith, and hope. Even in dark times, love can bring light.
